Series Overview :

Master Chef India is a cooking competition which involves initial round in which many contestants from different part of India participate in auditions. They present their special dish to judges to gain position in semi finals which contains 50 semi final places.  The semi finalists then compete in different challenges in which their cooking knowledge and preparation skills are tested . In season 1 and 2 , top 50 semi finalists compete until 12 left who get a chance to move and progress to the main stage of the show. The prize of winner include their own cooking show , their cookbook will be published and a prize of 10000000 rupees. The finalists compete for this prize.

Production :

Star India get the license to make Master Chef in Hindi language in 2010. From 2023, this show is aired from Sony Entertainment Television.

Season 1 premiered with average rating of 2.6 TVR while its one week gain 2.5 TVR. The final episode earned 4.2 TVR but overall it gained 2 to 3 TVR. Season 2 starts with 2.01 TVR and ended on 2.6 TVR. Season 3 premiered with 2.2 TVR while its following week earned a decent rating of 2 and 2.3 TVR. Final episode becoming the most watched reality show of the week with 3.7 TVR. Season 6 has lowest rating ranging from 0.8 to 1.1 TVR.

Master Chef India season 7 was announced on 5 August 2022. It is a Hindi version of Master Chef in Apne Tv. The first episode titled as “ India Ka Swaad “. While in its latest episode which titled as “ Hindustan Kay Hatho Ka Jaduu “ 36 finalists contestants has to present their dishes to Master Chef judges in order to be selected in Top 16 level. On 6 January 2023, Top 16 candidates was declared. 

These 16 candidates will then participate at further levels in which they face different tasks and eliminations. A competition will be conducted on stage where participants eliminated in food related tasks and challenges. The one who succeeds in all tasks and qualify all levels will declared as the winner of Master Chef season 7.
