Production of Ali Baba :
Sheezan Mohammed Khan and Tunisha Sharma casted for title role in the serial. While Kartik Jayaram and Sayantani Gosh casted for lead roles in October 2022. The shooting of serial began in June 2022 in Ladakh India. The teaser of serial was released on 24 March 2022 while its first look appeared on 6 July 2022.
Controversy :
The lead actress Tunisha Sharma committed suicide on 24 December 2022 in the green room of co star Sheezan Mohammed Khan on set. She was taken to nearby hospital but declared as dead on reaching there. After her death, Sheezan Mohammed Khan who has been rumored to be her boyfriend booked in the case of her suicide by her mother. Sheezan Mohammed Khan is under investigation of police. The shooting of serial is stop due to suicide of lead actress Tunisha Sharma.
Storyline of Ali Baba :
The story of this serial revolve around Ali Baba who is a orphan and live with other 5 orphans Gulrez, Imad, Poya, Nafi and Alifi in the Mamuli Gali of Kabul. Ali Baba is a poor boy who is good and generous. He always thinks of his childhood where his father Mustafa trapped 40 thieves in the moon and they buried in a stone grave. Mustafa was a sorcerer and Ali Baba is unaware of his powers and fate. Mustafa was killed by the leader of 40 thieves, Iblis . On his last moment he said that Ali Baba will be a great sorcerer than him and will protect Kabul from them and write “ Dastaan E Kabul “ ApneTv.
Simsim who is devotee of Iblis sent meteor to the moon to free 40 thieves so that they get Talisman in which Iblis life is captured. But Talisman is divided into 2 parts by Mustafa while one part is owned by Ali . But Ali is unaware of its powers. In the capital of Kabul, Kabulshahi the brother in law of Sultan Shah Zuhaid , Sadam wants to be king. While Sadam is a sidekick of Simsim. Princess Mariam is rescued by Daai Jaan and Dara Ghazi. She was unaware of the real world and trust everyone blindly.
On the other hand, the meteor hits the moon and make crack in it and 40 thieves released from the curse of Mustafa. One part of Talisman is owned by Mariam. Mariam and Ali start colliding each other and finally meet in Jumma Bazar. But Mariam lost her one part of Talisman. They are followed by 40 thieves. Simsim after finding one part of Talisman start chasing Ali to get another part. After facing troubles they finally reach in Ali Baba house.
Ali and Mariam get close to each other. Ali came to know about her innocence and fell for her. Without knowing their fate they work with each other to achieve their individual goals. Ultimately they come more close to each other.
